The Buda Castle seen from across the Danube, and the Chain Bridge. As I sat on the bench for a respite and took in the night air, I remember thinking how so many European capital cities are similar in geography and construct. There always seems to be a major river running through, an iconic bridge and historic or important buildings on the banks. Trade routes, ports, easy means of transportation and being close to a constant supply of water was important “back then”.
As I was walking back to the hotel after a successful night of photography I was stopped by a lady, of the night. But that is another story.
