The Pantheon – Rome, Italy

I like how some of the ancient architecture of Rome is tucked away, surrounded by buildings. You walk up a nondescript alley wondering at which turn you’ll see it and then there it is as the piazza opens up and presents its secret.

The best approach has to be the one to the Trevi Fountain but more on that later.

I wasn’t too happy with the shots I took of the Pantheon’s interior and so went looking for something different and found this:

The street cleaners and rubbish trucks gave me a long wait as I patiently watched the clock, waiting for them to finish their work.

With a dull sky, the rain soaked cobbles presented the best interest.
