Tram Stop & Chain Bridge – Budapest, Hungary

hungary budapest tram sop and chain bridge at night

The tramway network in Budapest started in 1866 as a horse and cart service and provided electric cars from 1887. Just by the west side of the Danube River, where the Chain Bridge meets Buda, the tramline from Clark Ádám tér runs the “Batthyány tér M+H” line along the river.

I did wait for this tram to come by and speed past whilst I had the shutter open, but all I got was a big white streak of light from the lamp at the front of the tram. I liked this one better.

Dear Ramesh

Your photos from Budapest are amazing. I was wondering if they can be ordered anywhere? I found some of your photos on but Budapest wasnt listed.

Thanks and kind regards
